Chiapas is the southern most state of Mexico. Within it you can find around 56 indigenous languages, many beautiful cultures and their respective textile weaving and embroidery patterns and forms, as well as varying forms of autonomous governments and militias. These incredibly strong people have and continue to endure the intense social, economic, and political effects of having been colonized by the Spanish, as well as being a Mexican border state. We are happy to be able to support some of these communities and people by purchasing of their art forms that bring so much joy, color, and connection into our lives.
